University Guardians supports students who start university when they are still under the age of 18.

It is presumed that overseas students attending a university in England and Wales are mature enough to live away from home in halls of residence. In addition, they must still follow the laws of the United Kingdom – no smoking or drinking is permitted under the age of 18.

Students who need more support should contact Cotswold Guardians who offer a more comprehensive package for school age students. University Guardians is an emergency back up option, suitable for independent students who can look after themselves in a foreign country.

University Guardians is a division of Cotswold Guardians, a fully accredited AEGIS organisation with students at schools throughout the country (not Scotland). They have an established group of host families around the country who are available for emergency situations (such as illness). Anne Sharp is the legal guardian of all students whilst they study at university.
